What year was your Firebird? I've always loved those cars, but always hated the 4th gen ones.

88 Formula 350. I loved the TPI, monster low-end torque, but, fell flat on it's face above 4500 RPM. I had 200K on the car when I sold it, still original engine, and trans. I did some mild mods to it, and bumped power some...... I think my favorite mod was the edelbrock catback exhaust. I installed that about two years after I bought it, and never turned the radio on again, it sounded THAT good. (and I had it for more than ten years. )

I didn't care for the 4th gen body style either.

I grew up loving the 3rd gen Firebird Formula's. I hope to have something like that when the circumstances / finances allow.

Skip the T-tops though. All they did was leak, and rattle. I liked the hardtop MUCH better. (was also a more rigid body, so it handled better.)

Good tip! I actually had no idea about that issue with T-Tops will the other day. I'll follow your advice on that. Thanks.

I changed out the fluid in both front & rear not even 2 weeks ago but these were too good of a deal to pass up. Got the pair for $30 off craigslist
