What Did You Do To Your 2ND GEN RAM Today?
Finished my trans governor sensor/solenoid swap. Filled with ATF+4 and took for a good long test drive. No more limp mode and codes gone. Also switched out kickdown spring to the Sonnax preformance spring that came in the Sonnax Sure Cure shift kit. I had misread the chart and ended up with harsher, later kickdown instead of earlier softer kickdown. I corrected it and it shifts real nice when dropping to 3rd on hills.
I used the performance spring and 1 shim, If I'm back in there ever again I'll just use the Sonnax spring and no shims to get an even earlier shift.

Shamed into cleanup
I have for the last several years kept the back seat locked
in the upright position, with tools, jumper cables, jacks, tie
straps...........but the clincher to get me to clean it up, wife
rides with me to the barn and smelled gas. I had left a gas
soiled rag in the back.
I got fed up with the mess, took many of the items and
stored them in the barn. I kept the jack, cables, two tie
straps, one Reese ball & tube with pin. Dropped my back
seat back down and it is now more than a 2 seater. Next
thing to do is wash it.

Rewired my sparkplugs according to the TBS, dumped a pint of Seafoam into the gas tank, removed the Instrument bezel to check on a (seeming) short in my aftermarket radio, tried to pull the cluster to replace some light bulbs. I was defeated by the gear indicator cable. Chilton guide got it wrong again... I don't know why I even use that thing.
I started in the front of my engine and worked to the back.On the way back out I put on new cap, rotor , wires. Man was it easy when the plenum is out of the way. Replaced the steel pan with the 1/4 in aluminum plate I got off ebay. Installed a doubled roller timing chain. Reinstalled water pump. Put in a 180* stat. Hooked everything up, filled everything up , changed the oil, and said a prayer before I turned the key. It fired right up! I couldnt believe it. It really did fire right up! Idles nice so I let her warm up, checked for leaks and then drove her home.......Next thing is to put in a oil catch can after the pcv valve.
