Replaced a bad thermostat. It was a fail safe so I was running cold not hot.

Backstory: It went out over the summer and I really didn't care since all I really noticed was truck warmed a little slow and ran just a little cold down the road when it was hot out. I was out of the country all this fall and got back around Christmas. At 30 degrees outside though the temp gage barely lifted off the peg at 130, the heat blew cold air, and I seemed to be on pace for a really bad tank of gas for MPGs. Nice to have my heat back and I'll report back if I see that roughly 1.7 MPGs come back after I get some miles on it.

Temper temper. Lol. I know what you mean about getting used to it. The full width crack was there when I bought the truck ('07?). It has kind of... shall we say, spread over the years.

Thankfully I work for the county road department. We service all of the sheriff's vehicles, plus I'm on search and rescue. They tell me I should get it fixed, but don't press the issue

I really wanted fog lights for my truck since it did not come with them from the factory. I went to the local pick and pull and found another 98 that had them and got the switch and plate to use in mine, spent some time looking up how to wire an aftermarket set in and then pulled my plate to swap the new one on and to move my airbag key to the new plate. Boy was I pleasantly surprised to see that my harness already had the wiring! I checked the fuse box and the slots for the fog light relays had the female clips installed in the slots and wiring going to them. I ran back to the junk yard, got the two fog light assemblies and the wiring for them that connects to the connector under the fan shroud as well as the two relays. After about an hour of trimming my factory bumper inserts to accept the lights and some sanding / clear coating of the lights, I have factory fogs with very little effort!

Yeah, it seems that dodge only used one wiring harness for the trucks, so, all the connectors for various options are already there, whether you have them or not.

Warmed truck up, grabbed a bottle of water and started the decarbonization process, hoped that would help with my miss, strangely enough didn't see any smoke of any color come out of the engine during the 40ml bottle not too sure what that means
Thought I was running rich due to smelling a quite strong fuel smell but it turned out to be a fuel leak (yay) gotta pull the bed (or at least tilt the bed) to find out where I'm getting a leak from
Pulled the both door sensors in attempt to get my interior lights to cut off both tested good, pulled my headlight switch and lights went out fooled around and found out the two prong clip that goes into the switch was the issue and got to looking around and there's a copper contact that was bent and making contact all the time bent it back and voila lights work properly, got dash put back together

Depending on how cold it is tomorrow I may go under and re route my spark plug wires
Still gotta figure out why my washer fluid light is in even though the tank is full, gotta find my fuel leak and see if fixing that will fix my misfire at all, still gotta order a new upstream o2 sensor to get rid of check engine light

Try cleaning the sensor for the washer fluid.

Let us know how things turn out.
