Really? I did mine this summer which was the 2nd time for my truck but first that I did and it was so easy! I actually like doing it. Like a puzzle. Just remove and replace. Everything went well. What made yours a struggle? I suppose the years and mileage had rotted everything.

Having the right tools makes the job a LOT easier as well. (specifically for the nails, and springs......)

Yes, having the right tools certainly makes the job easier. I bought the specialty tools from the store and it made a difference. It wasn't that bad Ramman18, just time consuming. Thank god for YouTube, made the job a whole lot easier. Just something I'd rather not do that often haha!

Sounds like my clutch! Took me and a friend a day and a half in his amazing shop with EVERY tool known to man.

Then I did engine work a year ago with timing chain, pump, oil pump, rear main, front main, etc, etc, etc, etc.

Then the front end steering including two steering gears plus I did my own lift back in 2010.

So once I got to doing rear brakes, it was a piece of cake! But I was totally scared of them not that long ago. Interesting how one job adds confidence for the next one. I'm sure now that you've done them, you'll be way more confident for the next job!

That's exactly how it's been for me! Slowly improving with each turn of the wrench.

Threw in the replacement clutch kit and it seems fine so far. But so did the last one at first. I won't hold my breath. Maybe I just need a new kit every 2 weeks.

Getting quick at doing these. Much faster than last time, ha. Wish me luck as the next step is another clutch job, fml.

Default wash job

You might think a wash job is nothing to enter yet my old 97 is so filthy I fear I'll break the car wash. We've had road construction since July followed by hunting season so it's time for a bath, or drowning more like!

It was a factory option on the 98 and up trucks. Mine has one too.

Here I am thinking I had all the bells and whistles on my 98 Laramie. I still love my heated mirrors
