I wouldn't call it a roar. There's a small hum to them though. These tires are actually made by Bridgestone. Even though they are labeled as on/off road tires, they are just as quiet as the Uniroyals on my Trailblazer and much quieter than the BFG's that were on my Wrangler.

Did a half-assed tune up. Got all the plugs changed and found they were very well worn, but in excellent shape. Went to do the plug wires thinking this thing has a distributor-less ignition with a coil/spark control unit. I was wrong. I'm 6'1" and let me tell you what. That distributor is a PITA to get at. I ended up not replacing the wires today. I have to go get a cap and rotor tomorrow and I'll try to figure out how the heck I'm gonna get myself contorted enough to get at the damned thing.

Debated about torching the truck. I have concluded that everything on the truck is a pain in the a$$ to repair. I have also decided that OEM parts are crap and if you want to build the best dodge truck, you should use as mainy aftermarket parts as possible.
Who ever thought of putting that stupid little bypass hose coming out of the top of the water pump and running directly under the A/C compressor should have theirs kicked!
Just counting the days until the whine in the tranny becomes a priority issue, and I have to sell my right leg for a rebuilt tranny!
