What Did You Do To Your 2ND GEN RAM Today?

Getting ready to replace the front brakes (3yrs/28k since done last)...
Got home to a hot brake smell... passenger side rim black as sin with brake dust, and a disc that had a soft red glow.
There is a slight pull to the left under heavy braking, but no noticeable pull to the right without braking.
I'm guessing the cylinder has stuck?
The last of the parts should be in tomorrow, so weekend, here we come.

Either the caliper seized, or, the soft line has collapsed internally, preventing fluid from flowing back to the master cylinder, which would keep the brake applied. They tend to heat up fairly quickly when that happens.
Jack up that side of the truck, stomp the brake once to put some pressure in there, then try and turn the tire. It'll likely be really stiff. (if you can turn it at all.) Crack open the bleeder, then try and turn the tire again. If it now turns relatively easily, the line is the problem, if it doesn't, the caliper is the problem.

With the glowing rotor, I figured it would be getting a heat treatment, and not machine well, so I just replaced everything.
Rotor, caliper, pads, and hoses (both sides).
The parts aren’t that expensive, so I figured better to do it all now rather that doing it again later when something else.
PS: the hoses where original...

Ugh. Last week after driving to Mt. St. Helens and back, I noticed my coolant bottle was dry. Hmm. Checked for leaks and found none. Chalked it up to the heater core job as maybe a large bubble finally worked out going up and down the mountain.
Well, today I was changing oil and found coolant around the t-stat housing. Great. I did this two summers ago. Well, I tore it apart and only had rtv around. Gooped her up and put it all together. Still leaking. Ugh. Ugh. Ugh. Ugh.
It seems all I deal with anymore is leaks. SICK OF IT! Always have to do the job at least twice.

Temp gauge started acting wonky (as in randomly spiking up and dropping back without showing significant change in temp as measured through the computer) so I decided to replace the sender. What a cluster... The first one came apart as I was installing it and the replacement read a solid 15°-20° higher on the gauge than it should. I put up with that until a NOS OEM one arrived in the mail. I put it in this morning and now the temp gauge behaves like it should and I got my money back from the other.
The wife and I are heading out with the camper next week and I'm hoping I don't have any more issues with the fan clutch along the way...
