Finally took the truck to the trans shop, do have some of it's issues addressed. On low-speed maneuvering (say, in a drive thru, or at a four-way stop), the trans would drop out of gear. Had to blip the gas a bit to get it to re-engage, and it would hold first gear WAY to long.... So, bought parts, took them, and the truck to the trans shop, had them do filter/fluid, governor pressure sensor/solenoid, output speed sensor, and adjust the bands. Trans now works the way it is supposed to. No more issues.
13 hour road trip to move the oldest back home for a little while. 7-8 hours driving and the rest loading stuff from a second floor apartment because his help bailed out him at the last minute. Truck ran great and hardly noticed that itty-bitty trailer on the back.
I put a new sound system in, in the last month I have done a ton to my 97 ram 1500. Put in a transmission, rebuilt front end, rear main seal, complete tune up, and a lot more. After putting about $3,000 in it and finally getting to drive it again I decided the factory radio with 3 out of 4 speakers being busted wasn't going to cut it. I put all of this in, nothing to fancy, but sounds pretty good in a single cab lol.

That’s more sound than I have in my single cab, and I’m more than happy with what I have.
I just did a head unit and speakers.
Anything beats old broken factory.
Looks good Corey. One of the POs had a fairly expensive system installed in mine at some point so all I had to do was swap head units to get things sounding better.
3513350[/url]]That was on my Firebird. I just got the exhaust fixed in the truck, and it is pretty much silent.... The tires are louder than the exhaust.
My exhaust is definitely louder than my tires, but at 70, the wind noise from the mirrors puts up good competition... hence the radio to make it all go away.
