umm... they shield the plug wire boots from heat?
a bunch of people yank em off without any issues but they don't bother me so i leave them on. and like i said, oil on them makes them easy to take out and put back in.

Probably that. The valve cover gaskets are leaking a good amount. Might be where my oil goes because I don't think my plenum is bad. I got some semi-fresh oil on my hands from the cylinder heads. I'm thinking FelPro cover gaskets from Summit for $36. Are there good? I was also thinking about doing HS 1.7 roller rockers and new valve covers while I have things apart. (I'd really like the Mopar Performance black wrinkle ones that say MOPAR MAGNUM, but they're like $200)

You can get new gaskets at NAPA. No need to order a common gasket.

felpro is good. i got mine at advance. and if you haven't done your plenum then it is leaking. i thought mine wasn't leaking too bad until i pulled the throttle body off.

I spent Monday thru Wednsday replaceing automatic tranny in my truck and added tranny cooler. Still have to adjust TV cable, 8 quarts of tranny fluid and still not topped off yet.

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone.

im not 100% sure but i do believe the full system should take around 11 quarts, thats with a torque convertor being filled as well. i think there should be like 7 quarts total in the pan...

again im not 100% sure about this, but im sure someone will chime in...

and anyways does anyone happen to know if the hella 500 lens will hold up to an HID upgrade?
