Moved my lights where i wanted them after charging the drill all night.

and someone was asking about another place to mount the lights because they didnt want to break them off while off roading, mine are centered 12" from the centerline of my hitch, with leaves them protected by the hitch reciever...hoever if you dont have a hitch reciever, heres how i had my back up lights on my 87 ranger...




apparently i didnt have a pic i thought i had, i think its on my other computer, but in the pic below you can see the light at the rear, i put them as far out on the bumper as i could, and i was able to open and close my tailgate still.

 

those lights are looking good now (closer in).
does your hitch completely cover them? mine are below the hitch just a little bit and i'm concerned that a sapling will rip them off.
and about the drill, i went to walmart and got a 17$ corded drill because i got tired of dead batteries on the cordless.

 

ya, and i really should invest in a corded one.

Damn, I have a corded one and really want cordless!!! Lowes has a deal on a 5 piece Lithium-Ion cordless Porter Cable set that my dad and I are drooling over!

 

theyre nice, as long as youre not trying to drill through a steel bumper and the under plating in it as well.

 

i got my add a leafs in today.

 

Oil change with Mobile 1 5W-30 and NAPA Gold filter.
I decided to go ahead and go synthetic.

Grease seat tracks and worm screws on power driver's seat.

Changed transfer case fluid. Good god that **** was oooollllldd. Black as hell and burned smelling, too.

Checked each spark plug. Only one was off on the gap (@.40). Plugs in cylinders 1 & 8 had a very small amount of oil, just enough to make the threads wet. Not sure if this is indicative of anything? All the plugs look good. Bit of rust, tiny bit of carbon. Electrodes are still square.

I have a question about my belt. It squeals something awful, especially when the engine is cold or its below freezing outside. It's a Goodyear Gatorback. The smooth side has some minuscule cracks that aren't at all noticeable at first glance.

What do you think is causing this? Or is it normal for this belt; I've heard some say Gatorbacks are noisy.

 

oren, youre belt is quite noisy, you could try spraying a bit of wd-40 to drive out the water/any moisture on that belt, and itll stop squeling, as for the oil...welcome to the full synthetic side of life.

 

Oren, I have also heard Gatorbacks have clearence issues around the water pump pulley where the belt crosses over itself. Due to the thicker design it rubs, might be the source of your noise.

 

I hauled 2340lb of junk transformers to the recycle center, and replaced both headlights and fog lights.
