Yeah, if your truck is pinging, you should try a higher octane of gas, and if that doesnt stop the pinging, get a colder set of plugs. I run stock plugs and use BP or Shell 93 octane with stock heat range plugs and it still pings. But my plenum is leaking badly and is causing it to ping.

 

gonna tow it over to the house to begin teardown on the blown motor so I can finsh building the crate motor!!!

 

Today: Seafoamed, then changed tranmission fluid and filter. Adjusted steering.

Tomarrow: Alignment and oil change. Tire Rotation. Detail the truck.

Thursday: Driving 700 miles to South Texas for work.

Yay.

^ Nice look. I did nothing today but wait for the truck to come back from the tranny shop. Replaced transmission mount, fixed 4x4 and changed all fluids.

EDIT: At 1:55pm est The shop called and my truck is DONE!!! Thank god I missed her so much. According to him my yolks don't click when in 4x4??? SO that's new.

 

got the truck at the house gonna keep on tearing down the old 5.2. Also my HS Rollers will be at my house today gonna get them on!!!

 

well yesterday, i picked up a new computer for the truck for $75. called LKQ the day before, and they had said there was not 1 in the entire southest US availible to them. i guess the 368AE 2000 model year pcm was a 1 year deal. i have since returned the pcm in the truck back to stock settings, now im just waiting for the truck to die on me again, to plug the new pcm in to see if its the pcm. also picked up a sticker "Yeah, Its got a Hemi." from the local dodge dealer for $0.99

 

still tryin to diagnose my gas guage problem...was like 3 degrees out today, so it was very hard to work on it (outside)

 

took sway-bar off, fixed sagging door, seafoam, and cleaned her up.

 

Got a trailer from a guy who works with my dad. Wiring and brakes are totaly ****ed up on that thing!!! Gonna put the Blazer on it tommorow and take it to the scrapyard Saturday.
