Got everything put back together in the truck, then went for a nice long test drive... So far, so good! Have to say that I missed my truck! Ready to do the front brakes now, along with some new front shocks.

So yea, drum brakes really ****ing suck. Installed new brake shoes, drums, and did the 1 ton cylinder upgrade and boy am I tired. I was working on my rear brakes for no ****, 6 hours and by the time that was done, I was too tired to do the front and it's late anyways. So yea, tomorrow first thing, I need to start replacing the front pads and rotors then preform a really good brake bleed because even though I thought I did a good one after I was done with the drums, my brakes are still really spongy.

Bro in law made up brackets for my air horn parts. Welded up some 1" square tubing to hold the tank and compressor. Then made up a 1 1/2 flat stock bracket for me to mount the horns to. Need to drill some holes and paint the brackets. Hopefully will get everything installed tomorrow finally.

Got a new glove box installed by the stealership. Can't get just the latch handle, have to buy the whole shebang for $312... but they owed it to me because it was made part of the sale. Salesdroid's gonna feel that in his commission!

Next up: PIAA Xtreme White headlamps.

Me and another DF member (Oroblram) took the dodges offroad yesterday, so today gets to be truck wash day. And I think I'm about to cut my exhaust off right behind the muffler and turn it out the side

I was thinking about doing the same to mine. I have not done any tranny service and I have put 50,000 miles on it. I think the last service prior was 5 or 6 K before me so its been about 55,000 miles with no service. I have fluid, replacement filer and a gasket but its cork. What do you recommend?

Also, how hard is a band adjustment? I would consider myself mechanically inclined, but mostly engines, transmissions are not something I am 100% familiar with.

Thanks
