What Did You Do To Your 2ND GEN RAM Today?
Went to the dealership and bought the 2 check valves they said I needed. One installed easily on the pass. side of the intake and there is another one that I cannot seem to see where it goes. TSB says it goes on the line to the HVAC controller but the lines aren't the right size.... Any one have a picture of the larger canister like CV and where it goes? Thanks, I've been racking my brains trying to figure it out.
They didn't bother to explain that the larger, "canister-like" check valve has to be mickey moused? They should have. You'll have to pick up whatever adaptation pieces you need at the parts store.
Well, yesterday, got the old box out, pulled the pitman arms off, and now its all flying around in the bed of my fiance's truck. Ordered the new pressure hose from Advance Auto Parts. Gonna pick it up tomorrow. Then hopefully the truck will be fixed by this weekend. Ugh, especially since I work 4pm-1am Friday into Saturday.
Tried to wash some of the junk off my valve covers in preparation for gasket replacement and scared myself by thinking that I got water into the heads.
Its prolly ok, I'll check them tomorrow to see whats going on.

Nice, I guessed it then. Now I just need to figure out where in the line it needs to go.
Put my topper back on last night, between the 35% tint on the rear of the cab and the 5% on the topper glass, I might as well be driving a box van. With the 17% on the side glass, It's nice and dark in here.

Welp, still HARD starting - loss of power, I installed a fuel pressure gauge and drove around with it ducttaped to my windshield, so I could see it while driving, and found that fuel pressure is not the problem, it ran all the time at about 40 -42 pounds. Leaking down of pressure didn't start until well over 45 minutes and even then it took hours to completely leak down, ( which may have been caused by the previous renter of the tool damaging the seal on the connector).
So now I ordered one of those Dealer Service manuals on a cd off Ebay, so hopefully it will have some sort of diagnostic procedure that makes sense for this failure. Hopefully it will be here today. Mnewbolds - any luck on yours?

Passenger side of the engine, very near the firewall, just outboard from the valve cover, you'll see a little plastic manifold. Lo and behold, one of those lines has a check valve in it just like the one you've already replaced. That's the location in which you'll mickey mouse the new one.
Finally got my roll bar painted and installed!
