What Did You Do To Your 2ND GEN RAM Today?
Gonna clean it out, have my speedometer calibrated with my programmer since I put the 33s on a few days ago, and put some fuel in him... also really need to check my fuel system for leaks I think, this gas mileage change is KILLING ME! Gonna start pricing out CAIs for the truck. Maybe that'll help.
14x3>CAI
pricewise you can get a 14x3 edlebrock pro-flo at autozone for 36.99 as opposed to 200 something for a CAI
if you do the 14x3 get the air cleaner adapter kit cause you need to put a riser on it to clear the throttle linkage.
and if youre getting around 12-13mpg thats normal for these magnums, epa est 10 when they were new, of course gas prices were a little over/under $1.00

the epa numbers back then werent regulated standards like they are today.
and 13 is about average im getting that with a 5.2 ext cab 4x4 33" tires 3.55 gears 46re trans fiberglass hard top, and superchips programer. i dont complain because i bought a truck not a car, and i expected mpgs to refelct that.
common problem areas are: plenum gasket, improper gear ratio for tire size(im going to change mine to 4.10s as mine are to small), worn spark plugs, bad precat 02, worn disty cap and rotor, worn plug wires, improper tire pressure.
Well, took the truck into the shop to finally get my modded kegger installed. All went well except for the minor detail of two broken intake manifold bolts. (front two, thank god. easier to get at.) In the process of extracting them at the moment. Well, in a bit here, when I had back to the shop.
There was a 1/4 inch of oil in the bottom of my intake. Gasket was blown out in several places. I am thinking this is going to DRAMATICALLY reduce my oil consumption.....

It happpend yesterday but I was too tired to go on and post, took out mypassenger seat and headliner, and everything holding it in, stripped the fabric off of it and started taking the foam off, was supposed to clean the inside but ran out of time. oh yea whoever posted that redoing the visors was easy I call BS spent a couple hours working on just the passenger one and d^mn rhe glue they use to hold it together is some thick **** and then the glue for the mirror thing is just like straight up tar
Then took it to a fire were I ended up having to help a ford driver in need, my friends ford that I had helped out with part of the lift is having a coilspring problem due to no shocks or limiting straps, and it blew the belt on the motor, when he got to the fire and had no spare belts that fit, so I towed him back to the paved road and he drove home nice and quick and made it home as he lost headlights and guages

Just because it's the coolest freakin' radiator cap I've ever seen.

It's a birthday present from my mother-in-law who had me order up whatever I wanted for less than $50 -- and who freaked a bit when I told her she was getting me a radiator cap.
I also got a trans temp gauge and two diff temp gauges along with a dash pod to put them in, but they're not going on until after we get moved out of the "resort living" place where they freak out if they see an open hood.
I got it at Summit Racing, Mr. Gasket P/N 2712S. $26 but cool enough to be worth it.
