Well, actually got a chance to take the truck out and drive it with the modded kegger, plenum plate, dist cap/rotor, and a few other choice parts..... (hoses and such.)

WOW. The truck runs smooth as glass, has better pick up, doesn't require as much pedal to maintain speed, shifts smoother, shift points are more where I think they should be... the list goes on. In a nutshell, MUCH BETTER. I am probably going to just scrap the old manifold, as aluminum is worth a few bucks these days....... so, am going to need to strip it anyway.... (get all the steel off.) Should I post pics?

If anyone is interested in an unmodded kegger from a 96, two coolant temp sensor holes, and an EGR block off plate, drop me a PM, I would sell it pretty cheap, plus shipping. Otherwise, just gonna get the scrap metal price out of it.

Mine has been sitting in the back yard for a couple weeks. The last time I ran it was to bring a bunch of cut firewood from where I cut it on the back of the property to a pile that I'm building up for a friend to come pick up.
I need to drive it, it looks so lonely back there.

First road trip in the six months I've owned the truck, and with the new Mega Viper -- 500 miles, not a hitch. The old truck just pulled like a draft horse in the hills, and somehow or other downshifted out of overdrive right on cue without need of the button.

I'm just tickled.

Took a load of lighter to a friends house.
I like the add a leafs because of the lack of squatting.

I also went shooting on the dam of a little lake at another friends house, there is an arsenal in my truck in these pictures.

Painted the center of the rear bumper where it was rusting, and painted the rear axle. Gonna finally put the SS differential cover on I bought last year.

Will try to post some pics later

Oops, that was probably me. I guess I forgot to mention that recovering them was easy. Breaking down and cleaning them was a bit tedious. Yes that crap they put pn the passenger side to hold the mirror is a mess. I used a putty knife to slide under that thick glue and it popped right off the cardboard. That glue reminded me of "stuff" for calking windows.

Dude, you should go buy a lottery ticket before that horse shoe falls out of your back side.
