about a month ago, I bought a set of fairly good condition chrome roll bars from craigslist. Well, one of the bars needed rechroming. The top bar to be exact. It had a few rust spots, and the chrome was showing a fair bit of discoloring from rust in random areas.

So I sanded it down, and was going to refinish it myself, as I have a chrome paint for my airbrush, that is very close to mirror finish. Well, after sanding that one down, decided screw it, sanded all 5 bars down, primered, and now today, just started rolling on the black bed liner. 2/5 bars nearly done, and I think I'm going to like this look much better than chrome. Plus they shouldn't rust again, ever, hopefully.

Looking forward to posting a finished pic and seeing what y'all think. I've already bedlinered around ma fenders and have yet to complete the bottom 1/3 or so of the truck and the truck bed itself. Guess if I ever buy a push bar and side bars, I'll have to do them to, to make it match.

Sold it... Thought that way wasn't coming.. Almost cried as I watched it being driven away (though I was sweating so bad you couldn't tell from it being so hot here today) All I had to do was just look at what took its place in the driveway. Moved up to a '98 3500 Cummins 24 valve 5 speed Dually! Made me happy anyway, and got a helluva deal on it too!
