On the topic of tailgates my truck had a diamond plate cover for it, and I got tired of it and took it off. Was washing the roof one day and the bed and tailgate got wet, with the diamond plate cover removed the tailgate was VERY slippery, I nearly busted my a**.

Im driving BACK from Wisconsin to Texas right now. At a hotel for the night. 1100 miles. Glad were driving my wifes new minivan instead of my pickup. Gas would kick my a$$ if we took my pickup.

Didn't do it today but over the weekend: 1300+ miles, here to Las Vegas and back. There are a few test sections of 20 miles each on I-15 in Utah where the speed limit is 80MPH, which is right close to the sweet spot for the truck. It just settled in and ran as if it liked stretching its legs. Schweet.

Got to follow an Ultimate Dork Machine with a nervous driver through Virgin River Gorge. With all of the truck traffic in the right lane I couldn't get around the Nervous Nelly in the BMW so I didn't get to sport it up to test the new shocks. Oh well.

Put in a new battery so I don't have to jump it every weekend. Think I blew a rear brake line which made for lots of fun travelling the hills of Vermont!

I installed my pacesetter y-pipe, and found out that my driver side header is leaking out the back most primary. Now I gotta replace the gasket tomorrow
