i replaced the shocks on my ram charger. don't ever want to replace the shock on a ram charger ever again. they are such a pain in the @$$ to replace with the gas tank where it is. good news is the ram charger now seems to sit level. the old shock were dead.
Removing the gas tank is fun also hahaha.. I just dropped mine yesterday.
i don't even want to touch that ether lol. i think i might build a skid plate to hold the gas tank up instead of making new straps. my ram charger has been loosing a lot of rust weight lately.
haha yea well i got lucky and think ill be able to reuse the straps.. as for the bolts thats a whole different story.. Ive kinda run outta money so it has to sit untill next week.. The fuel line along the frame rail is the culprit for the leak..
I couldnt find anything to replace the old bolts. The ones at the rear of the tank.. They are real goofy.. I was planning on making some unless you know of a better place to find them. Ive checked every hardware store around my area and found nothing like it.
i have no clue what they look like but it would not surprise me if they where a bit funny and had to be custom made. i think i spent $2 on hardware for the shocks but only used half of it.
Trans temp gauge installed yesterday. One thing I dont like about it is that I cant see the speedo needle until about 25mph. I think it looks great, but the pod/housing isnt very secure using the provided instructions.. gonna find another way to tighten it up I think when I get the chance. Z series gauge seems to blend in nicely. Readings kinda higher than I wanted so far, but it was nearly 110* today, 8pm now and its still 100* out.

And I was just about to order one of those too. I already have the wires run there and everything lol. What a bummer about the viewing restriction. Looks good though. Where did you mount your sensor?

Its in test port 4 now, the sensor provided with the gauge fit right in, I plan to get a manifold and move it to the line eventually.
I dont notice that I cant see the whole speedo much, only in residential type areas, may be a little bit of a pain once school starts again, will have to look over the gauge for school zones.
