did sone end of the season yard work
it was about a yard and a half of loam.... used my plow to spread it out. trying to level out and fill in a small ditch in my yard. still need about 3-4 yards of loam. love making my truck work.
after i swept out the remaining dirt i put my ballast retainer in. couple more weeks and the ballast will be in for good until spring.

Topped off the power steering fluid, as it was at the low mark (first time this was ever needed since new).
Did some more sleuthing on the coolant consumption issue... I'm confidant (thankful) that it isn't the heater core... I noted a few drips of water from the front lip of the oil pan, dripping onto the cross member... the inside of the water pump pulley and the bottom of the water pump bearing housing did not appear wet... more investigation needed.
Since the heater core is not the culprit, that means the water on the passenger floor has to be coming from the rear cab seam or the window, despite not being confirmed by a hose down last week... the floor has dried since we've had several rain free days, so this also points to a cab leak.
So I took a small tube of "flowing" silicone window sealant and ran around the cab seams, the rear window, and 3rd brake light, just for good measure.
The next heavy rain will be the test.
