Went to the salvage yard today.
Turned up with nothing, I went wanting a grille, air cleaner, window cranks and a wheel or two. Damnit.

The Dodge section was positively tiny compared to the Chevy section or even the Ford section. Oh the woes of owning/driving/working on a Dodge in a sea of Chevys and Fords.

In other news, it was the first time I had been out in my truck since I seafoamed it. WOW! Major difference. Spun the tires by accident twice.

^^ Sucks about the yard Dude. That always sucks. I assume you are looking for parts for the d200? Which grill do you need?

Yeah, looking for some bits for the D200...we were also looking for a wiper motor to replace the weak original one currently on the truck, but I had a massive brain fart when it came to what the wire connector looked like.

The grille I need was for my Ram. 2.5 of the 4 mounting tabs on the outside are busted. I say 2.5 since number 3 is trying to break.

All the 2nd gens that still had their grilles were busted. I saw one that didn't have a grille on the frame at all, I suspect it had already been pulled...

I am thinking about getting an Edlebrock pro-flo 10x2.5 air cleaner and being done with it, cheaper than the 14x3 variant.

have you checked rockauto?

14x3 filters look pretty good on an engine. having a large filter is just as good as having a cold air intake.

I've looked on rockauto.
It's not a matter of being able to find parts, it is a matter of being able to find them for cheap. Dad is unemployed and it's mostly his money going into it, sooo......

Yeah, 14x3's are nice...hmmm...would it fit nicely on the big block? The Edelbrocks are dropbase....this thing has so much hood space I don't even need a dropbase.

it would look better on a big block than my little 318. i got an adapter under my carb and there is tons of room between the filter and hood. the better they breath the better they perform. my 81 does not seem to have too much problem burning some rubber.

I guess you're right. It's really only like 5 bucks cheaper.

My 76 doesn't have a problem either. And it's got a tiny filter in a crappy housing.

oh yeah, picture
