Changed the thermostat, temp gauge was fluctuating from 200 to 230... all is well now.
Changed the transmission fluid and filter, noting unusual in there.
Cleaned the transmission control solenoid, fubared that as it now won't shift out of first gear... I guess I dealt it it's final death blow.
Tomorrow I'll put a new solenoid in and a ****ing drain plug on the transmission pan, what a pain in the ***.

did you check the trans fluid level with the truck in neutral? if it was low in park it may not be enough to come out of first.

Yes, triple checked that... last thing I want to do is drop that pan again.
Thanks

It was super nice when he got it. But it's starting to need a lot. Just about (if not all) the freeze plugs are leaking, interior needs some work. He had overheating issues that he connected to clogged catalytic converters (someone true dueled the exhaust and put cats on it)
We'll see how long this lasts for him.
Ram is pretty nice though:

Ran the mud....again. This was during storm #3 of roughly 5-6. Figured get it dirty and let it get washed during.
This was for another toy drive we attended.
