I think it varies from store to store..... The Advance by me is my go-to place for parts. They know me, they give me discounts, and they have a clue. Of course, it helps that the manager is a gear head.... and wants knowledgeable people working for him....

Autozone, on the other hand, will hire anyone, and I have real issues with the quality of some of their parts.

I don't know if we still have a NAPA around... we did a few years ago.... but, they either closed, or moved, and I don't know where they went.

There are others..... but, Advance is convenient, always does right by me, so, they get my business.

Not today but two days ago:

Replaced my timing chain with a double roller set up from Hughes. The one I removed had about 1/2"-3/4" of play in it.

Also did my tranny filter replacement and installed a drain plug. Tranny is still slipping. Thinking I need to adjust the front band. Otherwise its shift kit and solenoid replacement before needing a replacement tranny :/

Thanks, ideally it will be black by the end of the week, I pulled it back off to add some bracing to the ends, and figure out a way to add some foglights to it. Would look tons better with a sport grill behind it but the deer smashed it too... dang are they expensive and hard to find.

Edit: stewie01, I may have a few floating around somewhere. Ill see if I can find any
