Broke off three bleeder screws after replacing the infamous break line between the tank and frame. Needless to say I drove the neon to work today... thanks WD-40!

you know wd40 is useless? if you were smart you hook up the front line first so by the time you get to hooking it up to the rear flex line there is brake fluid coming out. then there is a 50/50 chance you will have working breaks. otherwise you will most likely end up having to replace wheel cylinders and brake lines which are pretty cheap anyway.

Well it wasn't the way I replaced the line, it was the way it blew out, I dumped every ounce of fluid and had zero brakes almost 30 miles from home and still limped it home at 3am. The lines all needed bled at that point, I've got a good set of ez-outs at home and new 1 ton wheel cylinders, just need to find some better lubricant for the one in the front caliper

Seems you have to feed the beast on a daily basis! Or does it just seem that way?

Just seems that way. Fill up's aren't the usual "top off the tank" just $40 here $50 there. And I've had to take and pick her up from work a few times, which eats more gas then her taking herself...

Edit:

Calling for snow tonight, just filled up the bed with a **** ton of wood. Should help with traction if needed.

No DTC, no check engine light. I dont have access to a scanner that will let me view live data either unless its a GM. I was starting to suspect a broken valve spring, but since its not a consistent miss that doesnt make sense. Im now leaning towards a coil going out, fuel pump or injector, or a sticking valve. I have to drive it to work in the morning and hopefully i can figure it out there. I just hope i can make the 45 mile drive without causing damage.

usually an injector or spark failure will throw a code..you gotta get RPM's up to like 3k though and drive for a bit to get the code to come up.

Wow that's so awesome that you already have the mod that I just did to my truck.

Today I put the tank back in the truck by myself. That was fun. Had about 4 gallons in it.

Four gallons? isn' it illegal to drop a fuel tank that isn't almost full?
