More likely I'll grab a cluster out of a older dodge and see if I can get it to fit.

Problem is it still is a computer controlled tach. Mine has one, but it's the computer controlled tach, which is the problem. I need one of the older ones where I can just hook it up to the coil or something...

i wonder if you connect the tach input on the instrument cluster to the negative side of the coil if it would work?
