since about 89 the speedo have been electric. now i know the speedo in my 93 would continue to work because i was board and out of the blue decided to hook up the electric speedo from my 91 in my 81.
Say, why is it when i custom tune my 1996 PCM that I can adjust the speedo output with the PCM????? And also test the tachometer using the Chrysler 2.0 module through the SCI link?
just because it is obd2 don't mean anything. you telling me if i was to remove the computer from my 93 the speedo would quit working? i think not.
Your's is a OBD1, not a OBDII. Big difference. Just in the number of connectors on your SBEC PCM, you could tell the difference... I have a JTEC. Totally different beasts.
coming from the people who say the pcm controls the gauges on a 96? i think the only vehicle that might have computer controlled gauges is those 98.5 and newer trucks.
