Permatex? On an exhaust gasket? That might work for a few minutes, but, that's all the longer its gonna last. It will burn out of there in short order. See if you can't find a better quality gasket locally. Do it right the first time.

 

Yeah that's what he's doing. But it isn't regular permatex, I forget what kind he said he'll put on if he has to.

Shoulda just bought another damn gasket. I bought everything else accept that.. I never trust stuff like that, that comes from ebay.

Headers wouldn't fit up perfect either. He had to take some off of them to get them to fit.

 

At least he's futzing with it and it's not you.

 

Yeah, haha. He told me it's his last pair of headers he's doing in a while.
