Only problem is it will make the rest of your engine look bad. lol

it wont make it look that bad. the intake is probably about the worst looking thing right now anyway so it would be a improvement.

Yeah, it's not that bad. Especially since your filter will cover most of it. lol

Hadn't you painted your covers a while back? Could you just clean them?

I know I know, everyone has some sorta sob part, but if I could lol...

Well replacing the EGR valve finished today. Had to remove the intake to drill out one of the bolts for the EGR valve, as it broke off halfway out, not surprising, as it was the original valve.

Then I put in all new spark plug wires and spark plugs, and cleaned the throttle body, took it for a test drive, seemed sluggish, but it has to re-learn as I reset the PCM entirely.

However, it is so quiet, you can barely hear the engine running at all.

maybe but fresh paint would make things look a lot nicer. plus i really need to take the passenger side valve cover off and see why the oil filler cap is not so snug. thought about swapping the one valve cover with one off my 91 since i know the cap on it is snug. the reason the one valve cover is so dirty is because of the leaking filler cap and the cap is fine. it is the hole that is the issue.

That's the way my gf's Hyundai is when she has the air off. I can't hear it. But maybe I'm deaf, idk! lol

Hmm, maybe that's why the passenger cover on my 76 is dirty....

^That. I wouldn't quite say last leg, but definitely a short lifespan ahead of it.
