So interesting afternoon. Got a call from a customer, said they had no Internet service, called the Tech Support, turns out there was an outage in Troutdale and Grant, they lost communication with the Troutdale AP's.
There was bad weather in the area so they weren't sure if it was a lightning strike or a power outage.
I'm pretty close to all the tower locations, their Field Support guy is 90 minutes away in NC somewhere, so I offered to check power at the tower.
So I head to the tower and find the APC Backup alarm going off, generator is not running. Power is live, reset the APC and sure enough all the equipment came back to life!
I had a wireless radio in the car programmed for testing, light it up and check for Internet activity and sure enough we're good to go!

Actually, I am the/a Internet company.
The tower is owned by TWR, they provide the infrastructure.
Their field support guy is a long drive away. So while I don't work for TWR I'm the closest ISP on their network, and I offered to assist in any way I could....
Good for business all around.

Just been super busy man.. Been working 2 jobs since April.. Just started a new one last week.. Running Tri-axle.. It has always been something I wanted to do and I am finally doing it.. Making more per week then my other 2 jobs were combined.. Gonna start being around here a little more now that I have some free time.. Put the Dart on hold for extras until I see if the SRT comes out soon... Already have a little side savings account for that haha..
The old man wants to put the ramcharger under the knife.. He has been on a buying spree.. Even bought a 1500 van... I call it the ******* wagon haha..
