It's all good. That bike is fine now. Had to squash the link back with channel locks. Makes a slight clicking noise but it shifts fine. Your bike downshifting or upshifting? It ought to be upshifting simply because that's the direction the derailluers head when ghosting. You guys should be proud of me. Got all but 4 bolts out of the trans pan and I'm waiting for the fluid to drain.

Let it drain overnight, it will get alot more out. And yes I truly am proud of you, no joke here man

And yes the bike is DOWNSHIFTING, the whole shifting assembly doesn't work. It's a matter of pressure, it starts in 6th, and if I put enough pressure it will pop into 5th temporarily. Which is nice.

True. Granted, I'd feel uncomfortable letting it sit open overnight, unless you just slide the pan back on... right?

That's one way to do it, I have done that, just disconnect the negative battery cable so NO ONE accidentally starts it. that is a ABSOLUTE MUST when letting it sit overnight, pan on or off.

If I am ever down your way and see you parked like that I will hurl my vehicle into the side of your truck... Then walk away... No need to take up 4 spaces lol.. Maybe if you were driving a super car then ya.. But not a 15 year old truck...

With the big Ford dually we ALWAYS take up to parking spaces, can't help it, someplaces we HAVE to take up four, just can't help it because it's a monstrous vehicle. But a Ram 1500, no way... One is good enough, unless you have a trailer, or a huge @ss
