i made one when i was going to school. it is not that hard. just time consuming. i think the side walls on the muffler were 1/4" thick

My owners manual states ONLY dex merc. One of my friends put GL5 in his, it literally blew apart. So I wont try anything but Dex Merc. That's also what the reman place told me to put in.

I'm trying to find exhaust videos....I'm really thinking glasspack. When I eventually do the exhaust it's going to have the collectors fixed and the pipes are gonna be cut off just before or after the axle, and then run out the back.

drove it to a work meeting.
it's a bit cooler out today so exhaust hazing at idle is more visible. so driving through yuppy-ville I come up to a red light and there is a bus stop booth on the sidewalk on the right near the signal...well my truck was maybe 50 feet from the bus stop and this lady gets up off the bench and walks like 100ft or better away running from the idle haze
buncha snooty tight *** greenies. I was tempted to blip the throttle and give her a cloud to complain about, but I didn't want to get the other lady that was still sitting on the bench in the bus stop.

I stopped and looked at a 2003 2500 ctd 2wd today. It was nice and clean with only 115k on it and one owner. It had all of its service done and documented at tbe local dodge dealer, a nd a fifth wheel hitch. But they want more than im willing to spend right now 15k.

For what some Cummins owners want on a private sell 15k doesn't seem so bad.....
