I had the unfortunate time of maintaining a 6V92 for a few seasons, what a screamer. If it was not at or close to wot it was not happy, two stroke dsl thing.

 

Trade ya Worst part is is thats hot for here. Most of the time low 70's is the high, and thats only for the summer months (june july august). After that it just goes into a free fall...

 

Nah, I'll take my rust free truck and keep my hot weather to myself.

I do have to say though of all the second gens in my area its by far the one with the least amount of rust... Most have mass holes above the wheel wells and on the fenders.

 

Over two months straight now without a drop of rain. Seriously.

It had the wrong injectors, guaranteed. Detroits are EXTREMELY picky about the injectors, if it had the wrong injectors it'd act just like you described.
