picasa is not working properly so i can't edit a picture and show you where to look for the numbers we need to figure out what carb you have. i think you need to take the coil off to see the numbers.

Merc said to look on the air horn, and according to the literature I found that confirms it: Carter Thermoquad 6-2141

ya. i think you have to move the coil(which should be easy) and you should be able to find the numbers you need on the front of the base of the carb.

I think that's right now that I'm googling. It's on the throttlebody of the carb.

I'm really thinking that this carb is from an older engine though. In the literature I'm reading, it says that in 76 they started adapting the TQ for emissions stuffs. I've looked, and there isn't any emissions on this truck at all.

I also found that port that I blocked off some time back is a bowl vent. lmao
Looks like I'm uncapping that tomorrow. Granted, the damn thing would have a total of 4 vents.

hard to say what carb the engine would have had. trucks always seemed to be last to get the new technology.

And when you consider all the parts sites seem to think this truck has a 2bbl.....when it most clearly has a 4bbl.
