I think if I took a chain saw to some of those big roots I might be able to help it out some....

Well, I got quite a bit of background on old Lemon Drop this weekend from a buddy of mine.

Look familiar? Apparently the truck was a shop truck for that body shop for about 15-20 years. Old man that owned the shop (he's dead now, shop is closed) had bought the truck and painted it his shop logo and colors. Old man went around to auctions and bought cars that were beat up, cleaned them up, painted them, and sold them. So the truck was likely a beater at one point.

So yeah, the truck only has 82xxx mi on it. Likely original shocks, etc.

Pretty cool, huh?

I also had made a mention of the off idle bog I've got going on, he said it was likely the diaphragm in the accelerator pump doing it. He'd had a 69 Ford pickup with the same issue, had rebuilt the carb, no luck. Replaced that little diaphragm, and it worked. So Imma try and find one. Shouldn't be too hard, right?

i think you can get them separately but i think it is usually cheaper to get a rebuild kit than buy pieces separately.
