I'm having tranny problems, lol

Can't even go over 60 up a decently steep hill. My overdrive button doesn't even light up anymore so I don't know if it's on or off. Or if it even works now..

I floor it, it shifts a million and 1 times up, down, up, down. Then just stays a steady gradually increasing speed..

You don't see a difference in RPM when you push it? My overdrive light has never lit up.

Overdrive is automatically ON until you press the OD Button which turns it OFF. (Unless someone has rewired to do the opposite).

You got problems dude.

Yeah a lot of problems. Does the light turn orange when it's off or when it's on? Cause mine don't do anything.

If you press the button on the end of the shifted the light will light up. And then OD is off

If the light is off you "should" have OD

There's supposed to be a light on the dash OD OFF in orange.

Does it feel like it's still trying to hit overdrive?

He has a 97. O/D off button is on the dash, light is in the switch. All it does is send a signal to the PCM to suggest that it stay out of O/D. PCM controls the lite. I would start checking wires.

When is the last time you were in the pan of your trans? Could be as simple as changing a couple electrical parts.

The newer trucks must be different because I think my overdrive is automatically off, and I think Merc mentioned that too for his truck.
