scrapping is a great way to get extra money. metal prices are down right now though...

ive been saving cans for months, and my neighbor gives me all his cans(roughly an 18 gal tote full) every week

ive got close to a ton of light iron, and have 6 39 gallon bags full of cans. id say those are about 15-20 # each.

gonna go scrap everything soon. should net me a couple hundred.

 

Yea it is something that I have done on the side for some time... I do have a little bit of scrap metal saved up and will cash in on that next week.. Im trying to do what I can to make any little bit of money until I hear about this job.. Even then I wouldnt start working till late May...

Well we abandoned ship and came over to my mom's house, they got power back last night.

Saw 2 regular (standard pickup truck) AEP trucks and 2 Asplundh Trucks headed in our direction, kinda encouraging. Might have power back sooner or later. Don't know, AEP website still shows us down on the Tuesday Night group....

Well guys, I ran into the power company convoy, they were getting ready to "light it up". Should have lights tonight, but we're chilling at moms house, house will take all night to get warm... Oh, who came to the rescue? Georgia Power Co Awesome.

 

we had power out for 72 hours straight once in 0 degree or less weather. No major outages since then.

I suppose everyone is wondering why i have been almost entirely absent from the forum for the past couple of days... Well, put it short, I am soooooooo busy.

i do have a job waiting, just need to sign papers. Part time. Doing stupid computer work. Oh well, at least it is something of a paying job.

What else? Well, had a friend over, got the tranny in the RAM, been talking all over the US
trying to track down parts.... About 250 emails in my inbox and counting...

Busy around the farm, busy at Job 1, busy at Job 2, busy at Job 3, looking at Job 4, what else can I say?

Well, I still feel like the luckiest kid on the planet !

 

I personally scrap all my beer cans to buy more beer, nothing like recycling lol.

 

looks like we will be getting a new puppy in a couple weeks. were looking at some lab mixes. were going to adopt from a local shelter.

i cant wait! my pup has been gone for 2 1/2 weeks, and its driving me nuts without a dog around...

before we can do that, gotta bring the cats to get their rabies vaccs updated... gonna be another 250 out the door. but its well worth it, if it means me getting another dog!
