Well I did some research on the JD 2640 NA diesel. It's gonna need a complete rebuild. Evidently the factory wet liner seals had problems with leaking at 5,000-6,000 hours, and ours has almost 6,000 hours on it. So it'll be a complete rebuild. I'm debating whether to turbo it or not, and just put light boost just to get some gains. I'd definately install a EGT gauge and boost gauge if I did.

cmon you're supposed to let your truck wear those bug guts like a badge of honor!
its like keeping a tally on your confirmed kills in war!
and a warning to other bugs not to eff with this truck or they will wind up as a splat on the windshield and get smeared around by the wipers

Edit: Strangely enough if I would have listened to zman17 those 3 or 4 previous times I'd already have a drain plug installed
