Default While we're on the subject

I am looking at a truck on craigslist 01 1500 with 5.9L. Hes got a 6in lift push'n 36s and claims to be getting 18-20mpg because hes real light on the petal, running synthetic oils, and has a tame cam. it also has a full exhaust and intake. I am calling BS i was wondering if anybody else thought this was believeable even with all the mods. . .

Of course, your mileage may vary...

There are lies and then there are damn lies.

Minus about two inches on the lift, and I'm pushin' 33's, run synthetic oil, and I don't have the cam...that being said; if I'm light on the pedal I can expect at best 14-15 on the highway and about 11-12 in town.

'I expected times like this-but I never thought they'd be so bad, so long, and so frequent'

2000 Ram 1500
5.9L QC 4WD
2-3" lift (unsure because I bought her with that mod)
285/75/16 Yokohama
AirRaid TBS
K&N CAI
Duals (not sure of exhaust either ... came with it)
LeBra Ultra-Lift Tonneau
140k mileage
Synthetic oil
Unsure of gear ratio (again came with obvious mod; can't even burn tires with ratio installed in now)

10-11mpg 50-50 city-hwy

Is there an easy way to fill in the gaps I am missing? I.E. measure lift, identify exhaust, identify gear ratio?

2001 1500 quad cab offroad edition, hovers right around 8 mpg city. It runs great, I think its these Minnesota winter temps and gas blends.
