Miles per gallon- What are you getting?
i noticed the biggest gain when i removed my crank driven fan and installed a dual electric flex-a-lite fan system with thermostat control unit. i'm between 13.5 - 15mpg's and i'm running 4:56 gears on 35x17 mud tires and a 5.9L engine
I got a 2003 Dodge Ram 2500 quad cab 4x4 long bed with 5.7eng. A lot of truck a little on gas tho. I constantly avg. 9mpg if not les! I installed a K&N air filter, hyper teched it & now I get a whole 10mpg when I am lucky. Any Ideas? Wife says it needs to go. I need help!
my truck computer thing says i average 9.4, but really its about 10.5. a little less during the winter. on the highway i get 15ish... good old 4.10 gears and my right foot hold back my milage
Just got my Ram 2 weeks ago and found this forum today. I get between 7 and 11 mpg with combined hwy/street driving. Not great, but with a V10 and 4.10 gearing I shouldn't complain. Looking forward to reading up more.
Havent posted in here for awhile. Switched to shell Nitrogen added gas 89 octane. get about 14.3 in the city (Best) and around 16.7 highway (Best) (Which sadly, is better fuel economy than our 2008 Chevy Avalanche.....)
I've done the math on a couple tanks of gas (have to track mileage anyway as my gauge doesn't work) and I average 10-11MPG on a 1997 Ram 1500 5.2L (318) 4x4.... The original window sticker quoted 13-17. I don't accelerate hard all that often. Any reason why my mileage is so low...?
