Miles per gallon- What are you getting?
Put $25 worth of 87 in the tank the day before yesterday and did alot of riding. 40% city 60% highway cruising. Did the math when i got home and i got 19 MPG... Pretty good.
completly stock truck. Its got the death flash but it still spins tires on pavement!
I have a question, I want to run some higher octane gas. Can i do that with the death flash?
Oh yea, that $25 in gas got me a quarter of a tank lol. So $100 to fill up!

^ Using a higher octane gas wont net you ant MPG increase, unless you are experiencing pinging under throttle.
All octane does is slow down the ignition time of the fuel. It doesn't add any kind of power to a motor that runs fine on a lower octane.
EDIT: I have been getting about 10-12 MPG here lately, but that's because there have been some local S-10 ground scrappers picking on the ole beater lately. The wrongly assume that this old rig won't chit and git when it wants to....

I know it wont give me any MPG...I just want to clean things out and give it some WOT's with some higher octane gas.
Can i run any higher than 87 with the death flash without probs?

on my trip out to south dakota i averaged 12.5 mpg. I think that my motor might be a little on week side though. It can berly get out of its on way. On the highway going 75mph it is always shifting into 3rd gear on rolling hills
I jsut filled up this morning, it cost about $55 dollars. It filled it completely up from the light being on and "dinging." I drove about 215 miles, all town, which averaged out to about 9.87 MPG's. I have to try and stay out of the throttle more than already. I don't even have nice exhaust to make me drive hard. I guess that is what I get for having about 4 inches of lift and 35" tires.
