Miles per gallon- What are you getting?
I check mileage all the time.... 5.2 auto, standard size tires, K&N filter, Ravin cat-back system..........I get average 12.6 - 13 mpg. 25 miles to work - about 6 of that is 35-45 mph "town" driving, the rest is interstate 68-75 mph. I'm buying a Chevy or Ford next time!
1997 Dodge Ram 1500 SLT Laramie 4x4 regular cab long bed 5.2/318 V8 96Kmi, all stock no mods (yet)
just got this truck and I'm getting 18 avg on highway and 15 avg city with regular cheapo gas
will be adding cold air intake, cat-back dual out rear, maybe a new cat, new headers, plugs, wires, cap, etc, etc.
YeeHaw!

99 SLT Laramie, reg. cab, short bed, 4wd, 5.9L 360, 161k miles, all stock with no mods., i'm getting 12 in town and 15 on highway. gotta agree with banwhalen, you should have a general concensus on what your getting into as far as mpg when buying your truck.
around 11.5/12 under normal driving (city/hwy etc). Long hauls on the highway I can get about 16mpg when cruising at 72 mph/2250 rpm. Only performance upgrade on the truck is a flowmaster 40 series dual rear exit.
I have not had this truck long. 1998 2500 Quad Cab 8.0L V-10 Auto with 4:10 rear end, 4" Skyjacker lift, and 285/75R16 tires. I avg. 11 miles to the gallon unloaded on the highway. Don't know if I want to know what I get in city driving. I have had many people tell me to just leave the truck alone as it is. Any mods. would not gain me much more mileage.
