I know this is old but If you talk abou he regular bulbs with xenon gas in them, nope I researched them a while back....just marketing hype really...


If your talking about the HID's with the soleniod to move the bulb in and out in the housing yes they work well...I installed them in my dads truck a couplke years ago and besides being wires backwards (love china) the highs would come on with the switch at low beam position and vise versa... they otherwise work great to shift the light pattern higher...
Of course if your sticking them into factory frosted glass lenses you wont get good results since your doing it all wrong from the start....You just succeed in giving HID lights a bad rap and **** other drivers off...
