What do you think is the meanest, best sounding exhaust for a 5.9L Mag?

I am in the market for an exhaust. I was looking a some Flowmaster 40 series. My buddy has them on his 3rd gen, true duals, and they sound deep an nasty! Money isn't really an issue, please help!

Thanks,
Jeffrey

What i have done is no cat, 3in stainless from Y pipe to 3in inlet and two 2 1/2in stainless 40 series flowmaster. Love it. so loud and at truck pulls people want to know whats all done under the hood. haha. its pretty stock.

The 40 series sounds good with no cat or a magnaflow cat. Nice and throaty/deep.
I prefer a magnaflow cat with a glass pack.

Keep in mind that the 4.7l and 5.7l exhaust sounds a bit different than your 5.9l.

I think mine is. Nothing from that cat to the rear bumper(didn't plan for it that way, just kinda happened). I'll post a vid with sound later.

Cherry Bomb! Either the Extreme or Glass Packs... and they won't kill your flow rate like a Flowmaster does!

I had a flowmaster 40 on my Indy for about 7months.
Hated it, only had 14" K&N, Eddy hdr/ypipe at the time I added it.(97)
Had deep but hollow tone to it at idle, got raspy/abnoxious wot above 4k rpms.
Cops hated it, had one crawl all over/under the truck with that exhaust on.

Eddy alum dual exit catback sounded pretty good but too quiet for my liking.

Magnaflow 3" exhaust was the ticket for me.
Deep tone at low rpms, good bark WOT with no raspyness at higher rpms.
