The whole area around the Piceance Basin is loaded up with oil field trash now. That's one of the biggest reasons we left.

Don't get me wrong: I'm not saying that all oil field hands are trash. Nowhere near it. There's a subset of them that's purely trash, incredibly self-centered pukes who blow into someone else's home town and make like they're the new owners of everything they see and exempt from the law and simple human decency. I know they'd never behave that way at home. Their mothers would slap the teeth out of their heads.

Edited to add: I was going to guess Durango, but there's more than one road in/out. I've narrowed it down to about three towns I'm familiar with... one whose name starts with a T, two more that start with an M. Am I close?

Until recently I did. 2000 souls, 6500 in the entire county, next closest town in any direction was 40 or more miles away. The population density of the county is just shy of two per square mile. Just about perfect.

At least it was.

Im glad there's really no oil or natural gas around down here. Well there is, but about 25-30 miles away. But, I hate blue colar *** holes, yea I am one also but Im not a oil rough neck. I dont go into any town thinkin Im biggest and baddest **** thats ever been there. I have small town respect that you can really get any where else. Its really bad in farmington, N.M. nothin but oil workers there..

Have you heard of Wolf Creek Pass? Starts with a P and a S(its two words lol). Durango is super close but thats 60 miles away. Its also in Archuleta County. Most people who live here are from out of town and out of state.

That's about the only place in New Mexico that I can't stand, and for that reason. Well, that and the Albuquerque because it's a big city and I don't get along with big cities.

Gotcha. Don't know why I didn't think of it. You a String Cheese Incident fan? "Well I woke up somewhere in P... S... both of 'em lookin' at me gigglin' whisperin' things..."

"... and don't mess with women from Santa Fe."

Right on, Slick. Back to the original programming:

Don't anyone drive like a dick. You're not the only one whose life is at stake.

Yea... Been there all my life. Couldn't raise my leg and let a fart with out the other side of town knowing about it. Sometimes it sucks, but the other times it's nice. I mean, I broke down one time right on the edge of town and got a tow from the local guy that happened to be driving by. Flipped him a couple bucks for his gas and some beer and he was a happy guy.

There have been times in my past where I wish I was amongst thousands of people, but those are few and far between compared to when I was 16.

Always buckle up in my truck, whether I'm the driver or not. Firm believer in seat belts. Had a friend who died in a accident. She was being ejected from the sun roof when the car rolled over.

And thats all I got to say about that.

But yup ^^^^ firm believer here funny thing is, is the day of my accident was one of the few times I put my seatbelt on. Ever since then its been day in day out.

And since the thread is about burnouts. I could never get my truck to do a burn out, I tried. But I stopped cuz I thought Id break something lol

Off Topic: I always wear my seatbelt. Unless I am just moving the truck around in the driveway...... I have seen way too many accidents... and when a friend was killed because he wasn't wearing his, I made sure that I did. Everyone in that accident that was NOT wearing a belt, Died. Everyone that was, walked away under their own power.

On Topic: I really don't know if my truck can do a burnout or not..... I haven't even tried. I have a one-wheel-wonder rear end, 160K miles..... I really don't think it is a good plan.
