Burnouts, and Rear Difs.
Don't get me wrong: I'm not saying that all oil field hands are trash. Nowhere near it. There's a subset of them that's purely trash, incredibly self-centered pukes who blow into someone else's home town and make like they're the new owners of everything they see and exempt from the law and simple human decency. I know they'd never behave that way at home. Their mothers would slap the teeth out of their heads.
Edited to add: I was going to guess Durango, but there's more than one road in/out. I've narrowed it down to about three towns I'm familiar with... one whose name starts with a T, two more that start with an M. Am I close?

Until recently I did. 2000 souls, 6500 in the entire county, next closest town in any direction was 40 or more miles away. The population density of the county is just shy of two per square mile. Just about perfect.
At least it was.

The whole area around the Piceance Basin is loaded up with oil field trash now. That's one of the biggest reasons we left.

Have you heard of Wolf Creek Pass? Starts with a P and a S(its two words lol). Durango is super close but thats 60 miles away. Its also in Archuleta County. Most people who live here are from out of town and out of state.
Hasn't everyone?

"... and don't mess with women from Santa Fe."
A town is only truly small if you know everyone who lives within ten miles and can stand under the only flashing red traffic signal downtown and see beyond the edge of town in all four directions.
Where I came from you knew a guy was from out of the area if you didn't know him, his truck, or the dog in the back. If he pronounced Axial like the locals he was from a neighboring county, but if he mispronounced Piceance or Buena Vista you knew he was from out of state.
ColoradoRamLover knows what I'm talking about. Western Slope FTW!

There have been times in my past where I wish I was amongst thousands of people, but those are few and far between compared to when I was 16.
...had one of those 'near death' experiences as well...but mine had nothing to do with a vehicle. If I have to be honest...I never wear my seatbelt....in my truck that is. Heard of people dying because of seatbelt strangulation in an accident...just saying. I do firmly believe seatbelts save more lives than not, just wanna make a point I guess. I wear one when some else is driving or if I am in car, but thats it...
Always buckle up in my truck, whether I'm the driver or not. Firm believer in seat belts. Had a friend who died in a accident. She was being ejected from the sun roof when the car rolled over.
And thats all I got to say about that.

I wanted to use that on a thread before it happened to me lol oh well my bad haha
But yup ^^^^ firm believer here
funny thing is, is the day of my accident was one of the few times I put my seatbelt on. Ever since then its been day in day out.
And since the thread is about burnouts. I could never get my truck to do a burn out, I tried. But I stopped cuz I thought Id break something lol

Off Topic: I always wear my seatbelt. Unless I am just moving the truck around in the driveway...... I have seen way too many accidents... and when a friend was killed because he wasn't wearing his, I made sure that I did. Everyone in that accident that was NOT wearing a belt, Died. Everyone that was, walked away under their own power.
On Topic: I really don't know if my truck can do a burnout or not..... I haven't even tried. I have a one-wheel-wonder rear end, 160K miles..... I really don't think it is a good plan.
