Default Playin with Plasti-dip (pics)

Thanks to bigslick050 and dodge dude94 for telling me about plasti-dip! The 3rd gen guys are using this stuff like crazy so i thought i would join. Today I took all the rims off my truck, prepped them and did a few coats. My buddy came by with a 3rd gen so we could install red grill accent lights.(pics soon) Needless to say, didn't finish my project, so in the morning I will do the last few coats then put them on friday!

YAY!
I got my name mentioned somewhere!
lol
Looking good after how many coats?
Can't wait to see em mounted up.
BTW, I'm not sure but you MAY need to do some scraping around the holes for the lug nuts.
Not positive though.

Anyway, looks nice....I can't wait till I can try it on my rear bumper covers.

WOW! It already looks 100 times better! I think redoing the wheels is really going to set off your truck man! You'll probably want to do the plastic inner fenders if you got some leftover...I noticed they are looking faded and worn out...you could bring right back to life too! I did mine with herculiner coating and they came out looking like new again plus it hides the shredded rubber for burnouts! Just make sure to sand it down good and use spray primer before applying the coating or it will start to peel after a while...

Pics when you get 'em mounted up! Great Job!

I'm finding more and more uses for the stuff almost daily. Did ALL the cheazy gray plastic cladding on my Grand Cherokee, did all my 2" receivers (the synthetic rubber stops the annoying rattling), am using it to paint CAIs as it's also an insulator and I've even used it to seal holes in a garden hose.

Best invention since someone decided to mix water, barley, hops and brewers yeast, IMO...

Ok finally got them done and on the truck. To me they look pretty awesome but I think I like chrome better. These will be nice till I find a good deal on some american racing style rims that I want. Overall very inexpensive and easy to do, just took time.
Now I think im going to do my bumpers to hide all the scuffs from the guy who owned it before me!
