Yes, my day yesterday was pretty damn fun went out to this place with a couple buddies and there trucks(another 2nd gen dodge, a couple chevys a ford). I got just a little mud on the tires

But, I will admit, that I was a little hard on my old girl. I was havin too much fun and didnt really think about the harm in rompin around the mud and what not....... Threw the check engine light on the way to the car wash. My first gear is probably screwed and Ive lost a lot of power. I will admit I probably shouldnt have gotten as dirty as I did, Im paying for it. Bash me all you want, but I know I had a lot of fun and it was totally worth it.

P.S. Ill be paying for all is wrong with my truck with my "student funds" since I cannot find a job...

Ok for one thats not a little bit of mud on the tires, for 2 nice job looks like fun, now was there a bit of water where you were playing or just straight mud.

If I go through mud puddles over 30 I get water in the tranny harness not sure where its at and how much just know I throw the code and the tranny goes all kinds of crazy, I also get a code for a misfire which causes a severe loss of power and gives me shuddering in OD only around 45. But if I let the truck sit for a bit and dry sometimes a couple hours or a day its back to normal.

So if your lucky you just have some water or mud in the wrong place and once it dries its back to normal I would clean out the engine compartment real good and check O2 sensor and any others under the truck for damage.

And some people will never learn but thats part of life, but at least you still have the truck in your possesion

Buy you a used four wheeler for a grand or so. Put it in the bed of your truck and when you get off the beaten path, unload the damn four wheeler! Thisaway, if you go too deep in the drink or have any other mishap that you seem prone to, the most you are out is the cost of a used four wheeler.

I have beaten up my share of vehicles in my younger days, but with the exception of one, were relatively inexpensive weekend "play toys". But now I have an ATV. When the chit gets too thick or deep or whatever I just jump on it.

My poor second gen was scratched to hell before it had 10,000 miles on it from hog hunting in the deep swamps. Now I park the truck when the trail gets too skinny or the mud gets too deep and ride.

haha nice visual aids there Hammer

Am I gonna be the first to come in here and say that I love how much damned mud ya got on er? That's probably more than I've had on mine, and I like to get mine muddy occasionally (read: I wash it about twice a year )

So just to balance out the responsible, unadventurous guys, I say do it again! You missed a spot on the hood!! haha

Breaking trucks is an expensive and sometimes damnably inconvenient hobby.
