I got some more pics from today of my truck. Check them out, they ain't to bad. One is a helpfull picture for the wild vents...
This is a great looking photo, but a nasty rad cap. I replaced it today!

My Ol' man trying to get the back clap down on the new rad hose.
Thing sure was a nuckle bustin pain in the a$$

Time for new valve covers?
I am looking for some sweet ones.
I need to clean up the engine a bit too...

Everything is clean up here.
Today I took of the air cleaner an looked into the kegger, an i saw no sign of oil on top of the plenum. I will keep my fingers crossed. But I think the previous owner may have fixed that issue? Who knows...

This is what causes "wild vents". Its when you are under acceleration with your a/c on and the a/c just cuts out. Thats wild vents. If you have this issue, you may need to replace it...

Can this ECU be chipped with a SCT tuner?

Dude what year is the truck and easy way to tell is if you feel under the dash below the steering wheel right about equal with the gas pedal there is a plug, If its a 96 or newer you will have one there meaning your OBDII

His truck is a 96, which is the first year of OBDII. Hemifever can get you an SCT tuner for your truck. Just reflash the PCM, and down the road you go.

are you talking about the OBD2 connector? On my 98 it is directly below the ashtray Originally Posted by redheadhunter21

And I've never saw a cover over the PCM like that, nice touch

96 the obdII connector is between the gas peddle & the airbag control box just under the dash.
I had the plastic cover over my pcm as well, removed it many years ago.(polished mp pcm)
PS, what farmboy describes in not wild vents.
When going roughly above 3/4 throttle the pcm shuts off ac untill the tps voltage drops to normal levels.
It does that so you have more power.
My 96 & 99 both did that from day one(new off lot).

I would suggest tightening the valve cover bolts, and cleaning up the area with brake cleaner. About half of the bolts on mine were less than finger tight, which was causing the same problem you are having with the oil on the exhaust manifolds ect. I ended up replacing the passenger side gasket, and it stopped the leaking for good.
yours is not as bad as mine was, here is a pic
