what should i be concerned with as far as workmanship goes?

 

does it need injectors to run nicely, could it run good with the stock tb?

 

will the flat top pistons be a problem?

 

Watch your compression ratio. Don't wanna get too high, else you will have to run race gas. (read: expensive....)

A good set of slightly larger, flow matched injectors might not be a bad plan.......

The shortblocks are pretty stout to begin with, its the heads/intake manifolds that were the weak points. If it was done by a professional builder, should be good, if he did it himself, might be a different story...... but, if he knows his chit, should be golden.
