It makes sense because you were driving recklessly.

The point of it all was you were driving that fast for what reason? You wern't gonna save the day so what difference does it make to go 55 or 112. Also you drive that fast crash and die he lives what kinda strain you think that's gonna put on him?? You could have also both died then your family is losing 2 loved ones.

I honestly don't care if you speed. I do it all the time never that fast though. people are just trying to make a point that it was dumb. Trust me dude I've been there. back when my grandma was living I thought about flipping the lights on and driving fast home to help BUT what good would it do?

It may have been late, it may have been out in the sticks, but the time in the future when you're again that unforgivably stupid and take out a young family with three kids in the back you'll still be absolutely wrong and you'll deserve more guilt than you can possibly feel.

There is a reason that ambulances and fire trucks don't exceed the speed limit, and don't enter intersections against red lights without first stopping to ensure that the intersection is clear. HINT: It's not because they don't care about the people they're going to save.

Probably since it was submerged, it cooled to the point that it no longer did its job correctly, and the computer was irritated about it.

Isn't the truck speed limited somewhere around that speed too? Would hitting that limit cause the light to blink?
