I just had to buy a front housing case for mine. what is the going rate for a usd t-case around your area? I made the mistake of buying a newer t-case with a shorter input shaft, shop told me they could just change out the shaft since the case had the same numbers. Then they said it would not work. Spent too much for nothing, should've known.

From the pics it appears you have the correct one. the later models have a shorter input shaft. I have a refurbed one for sale for a '96 and newer.

well everything bolts into place the same, nothing seems different....

but i was thinking, this had a straight 4x4 floor shifter....mines the one that you pull up, to the right, and then up again for 4lo....different shifters....does this make a difference

The pattern on the **** will be wrong then. I highly recommend you figger out what the REAL pattern is, and either grab another ****, that reflects that, or, put a sticker or something on it...... (or, I REALLY liked the guy that had the pistol grip shifter (complete with trigger...) for the 4x4 shifter. )

well i jacked up the truck (all 4 wheels) adn i disconncted the 4x4 rod. i took the lever and i moved it manually....everything is in where it shoudl be thank god.

still dont have a speedo.....but i got paid from my old job yesterday, and i get paid from my new job today!!!!, so im probably going to get a new speed sensor, and the TCase saver from Zman.....but my speedo was fine before i took everything apart....wiring is not an issue, already ruled that out.

Did the new t-case have the manufacturer tag on it when you got it? Curious to what date is was manufactured in. From your other thread about your O/D issue you said it was a '98, still looks like an earlier model to me.
