I have been working outside in the cold and snow, and that is exactly what I wanted to do..... unfortunately, no heater to be had...... So, it's work a while, come in and warm up. Work a while, come in and warm up. Now going on day four of the timing chain and gears/water pump/timing cover re-seal. Joy.

If you get 100$ to spare anytime this winter you should check out the propane torpedo heaters at Tractor Supply.
I like the heat output of kerosene heaters but I don't like the price or the fact that they have to be level, you can point the propane one up at a 45º angle so it hits you in the knees and runs up your whole body.

Yeah, they have them at lowes as well. like 20-30,000 btu......and in an adjustable mount. Just don't have the scratch right now.... spent it on parts to fix the truck. Again. It REALLY needs to stop absorbing money at such a high rate.

I have one of those torpedo heaters. I set it in the garage 15-20 minutes before I go to work on something, and turn it off and use a little ceramic heater to keep the temps.

I think I'm gonna use the 35Watt utillity light I bought for the Ariens for this. Just not exactly sure where I wanna put it and if I really want to use it for that.

the problem is i got a tiny garage, cant close the door with the truck in there unless my upstairs neighbors car isnt in there and i can move all my stuff to her side of the garage..
i got a few propane heaters 1 torpedo heaters and also got this big heater with a cage around it. it worked really nice, i had a 4 car garage at my old house and it would bring the whole garage up to a temp where is was comfortable in a sweatshirt and jeans. damn i miss my big garage.

i have a wiring question. if i just added a switch just to turn them on manualy but still have them go on with the stock reverse lights couldnt i just add a switch into the 86 terminal(switch) of the relay and keep the stock reverse light wire in that? so basicaly on they are on off they will only go on with the reverse lights?

it is way easier if you have a Zippo lighter. i wish mine worked today when i was trying to use a cheap lighter to shrink the heat shrink on my back-up light wires.
