Those lights are great when you have a camper shell or tinted windows.
They're also great when you're loading a bunch of junk into the bed in the middle of the night.

Do you know anyone with some metal fabrication skills? Skid plates would be a good idea, they'll keep the lights from getting ripped off as well as keep water off the wiring when you're scooting down the road in the rain.

Mine are on a toggle switch and they're powered by my fuse panel so I can't accidentally leave them on (they cut off when the key is off).
The toggle switch is great because I don't have to put it in reverse to kick them on so I can use them at night when i'm behind the truck loading stuff and they are also great at getting tailgaters to back off.
Here's mine with some little skid plates.

Evidently the truck I bought from viper used to have hidizzles for reverse lights. I'm gonna email him and see if hes got a picture of that. lol, I just want to see it. I've seen people using hids as dust lights before, but never as reverse lights.

If it weren't windy you could do like I do if i'm going to be out there for more than a few minutes and set a little torpedo heater up beside you so you'll be covered in a raging inferno. Just don't step out of it, going from really warm to really cold isn't great.
